Managing the site menu
The Site Menu structure is managed using the Site Menu Structure Editor.
Log into the SheerCMS Administration console and select the "Site Menu" from the top menu.

The Site Menu Structure Editor displays the current menu structure as a tree. The site menu structure is used by the menu and child pages controls to determine which page links to display. Only pages marked as "List in Menu" will be shown.
There are two main funtions available within the Site Menu Structure Editor. These are:
-
To re-order a page within it's siblings:
In a menu, pages with the same parent are called siblings. To reorder sibling pages, select the page you wish to move and then press the "Up" and "Down" button to move it up or down the order. When a listing control is displayed horizontally, the top most page is on the left and the bottom most page is on the right.
-
To move a page to a different parent:
To move a page to another part of the menu, you need to change the page that is it's parent and this is very easy. Select the page you wish to move and then press the "Make Child Of" button and then select the page you wish to make it's parent. The page is now the bottom most child of that page. To change it's order within it's new sibling pages, use the "Up" and "Down" buttons, as above.
To save your menu changes, press the "Save" button.
